This is a place for me to share my artwork, my vision and travels through my life's journey. I am a painter and maker of things, from time to time I attempt to write things down. . . Here you will discover the artwork I create and the style I have developed through his years of plein air, on location creation of images. I primarily paint from direct observation, and like to share my vision with others. There is a beauty in the ordinary things of everyday life that i like to try to capture. Recently I have been exploring more and more natural and wilderness scenes. Carol, my wife and partner for over fifty years, is also a creative mind and both Carol and I love to travel, with our little dog, Harper. We have had the good fortune to sail across the Atlantic on a small sailboat without incident. We cruised Americas’ Great Loop, an almost 7,000 mile journey by water around the eastern half of the United States which was accomplished in a continuous year of cruising and living aboard our boat. We have kayaked in the Atlantic, Pacific, Caribbean and the Sea of Cortez. Carol and I have regularly explored by automobile, boat and RV the byways of the US. Most days finds us hiking the trails of New England. It is these travels and travails that inspire my creations. I am going to attempt to create a new post with some frequency (but I’m skeptical) that will focus on my images and creations in the blog and some articles will be for sale in my store.
