Well, it's almost October and here I sit facing a blank page trying to explain away the past couple of months. No, we did not fall over the edge of the world, and haven't had any major life changing incidents, so I am guessing that it has just been out of shear laziness that I haven't written. I will try to catch things up, as briefly as I can, Carol and I have continued to hike when ever we can and have visited several very cool spots where we have found challenges and beauty.
We took the grandkids down to Washington, DC and wore ourselves out visiting the museums and Arlington National Cemetery. We were fortunate enough to visit DC during the eclipse so share that with lots of people out on the National Mall. Personally, I have shown my paintings in a couple of shows and have another coming up soon at the Rhode Island Watercolor Society..guess I am indeed a part of society. . . Carol continues to do her Chaplain things, Ben made his first solo flight (I can't believe that he is flying a plane and hasn't got his drivers license yet. Grace had a good Lacrosse season and is now enjoying soccer. The Beach Bays came to East Providence, about a mile from the house and we saw their concert..nice. The big change you may have noticed is that the name of this site has changed...Brightridge is gone.. I sold the domain to a power company in Tennessee. That worked out nicely and will likely cause some confusion for a while, so the new address is edwardmhuff.com - don't forget the middle initial M, stands for magnificent or magical or maybe modest. . .you decide. I will continue to post here on the blog and try to do it with some frequency. I will still post about Carol and my hikes, travels and such but I think the focus will change a bit more toward my art work (if that is what you call it). I am continuing to paint and shoot a lot of photos and have been working hard to improve in both of those areas. I also want to do more video work so that may show up here as well. Let me know what you think and if any of this is of interest. So for now here are some recent images both pixels and paint.
