One of the things we have been considering since we left Portland, is a teardrop trailer. These cute little trailers are towable by our Subaru and provide a lot of comfort and amenity. We arranged a tour of the Vistabule factory in St Paul. Vistabule seems to be the company that sets the standard. So this is our current consideration, but will continue to look and make a decision down the road.
The folks at Vistabule seem committed and are a group of very knowledgable folks who are eager to share. Our two hour tour was fascinating and we really like their campers. We are pushing south today as we are on our way to central Illinois to visit with my brothers, so today was another travel day. We had planned to stop in Wisconsin, as I have some great memories of hiking the trails and swimming in the lakes around Wisconsin Dells..that area is unrecognizable as it is all theme parks and waterslides with thousands of tourists, kids and everyplace is garish and trying to take your money. . . we moved on.
We pushed into the early evening and ended up in Rockford, Illinois. This will give us some more time to explore on the final leg to David's house. Short post today with just a few photos.
